Offering hourly rates and packages for supporting the mother and rest of the family during this postpartum period.

About Me

I believe a woman should be supported and empowered during her pregnancy and birth to help your during her transition from a woman to a mother (whether this is her first baby or her tenth).

The postpartum period (fourth trimester) is a time of many changes for mom and the rest of the family.  I believe this is the time for a family to be loved on and supported as they make this transition of bringing a precious life (or lives) into their home.  I see it as a blessing to be a part of this sacred time with the family.

I am a mother to eight children- four earthly children, four angel babies.  All of my birth experiences have been different from an induced hospital birth with an epidural, preterm labor turned induction resulting in a cesarean, attempted hospital VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean) turned CBAC (cesarean birth after cesarean), and then a HBA2C (home birth after two cesareans).

I also have personal experience with breastfeeding (exclusively, with supplementing via SNS, tandem nursing and extended breastfeeding) and postpartum depression.

I received my DONA postpartum training in October 2012.  I am currently working toward my certification with DONA. I am currently working on my Birth Doula training and certification with Birth Arts International.

I received my Breastfeeding Peer Counselor training through a local WIC office and Loving Support October 2010 through March 2011.  I have worked as a Breastfeeding Peer Counselor with the local WIC office since.  I have over 8 years of personal breastfeeding experience. I am currently working on my Breastfeeding Educator certification with Birth Arts International.
